Description
The Sienna Handpan
Crafted with Character. Tuned for Expression.
The Sonara Sienna combines the expressive character of the D Kurd scale with a warm bronze finish and intricate ornamental detailing.
Its distinctive engraved surface gives the instrument an identity of its own, while underneath, a carefully formed stainless steel shell provides the resonance, sustain, and responsiveness expected from a quality handpan.
Designed to make musical exploration feel natural, the Sienna moves effortlessly between quiet, spacious melodies and more rhythmic, expressive playing.
Premium Stainless Steel Construction
The Sienna is crafted from stainless steel, selected for its combination of acoustic performance, durability, and resistance to corrosion.
Its formed steel shell provides the foundation for clear note articulation and sustained resonance, responding to subtle differences in touch and dynamics.
The result is an instrument that feels responsive beneath the fingertips without requiring excessive force to bring its notes to life.
Signature Engraved Finish
The Sienna stands apart through its warm bronze-toned surface and ornamental engraving.
Delicate botanical-inspired patterns extend outward from the center and appear throughout the playing surface, creating subtle details that reveal themselves differently depending on the angle and surrounding light.
It's an instrument designed with visual character without losing sight of what matters most: how it plays and sounds.
D Kurd Scale
The Sienna is tuned in D Kurd, one of the most versatile and intuitive scales found on modern handpans.
Its minor tonality provides a deep, expressive foundation while the surrounding notes naturally complement one another.
This harmonic relationship allows beginners to create musical patterns relatively quickly while providing experienced players with enough depth to explore rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and melodic improvisation.
Choose Your Configuration
9 Notes — Simple & Intuitive
A focused layout that makes the handpan immediately approachable. Ideal for discovering the instrument, minimalist improvisation, and players who prefer a clean tonal palette.
10 Notes — Balanced & Expressive
Adds another melodic possibility while preserving the intuitive character of the D Kurd layout. A versatile option for players looking for greater freedom as their technique develops.
Tuned to 440 Hz
The Sienna is precisely tuned to 440 Hz, today's standard concert pitch.
For musicians, this is an important advantage: 440 Hz provides greater compatibility when playing alongside most contemporary instruments, making the Sienna equally relevant for solo practice, collaborative sessions, recording, and live performance.
